NOTE: the above forecasts are valid from 1230UT, 11 Nov 2017 until 13 Nov
2017
PREDICTIONS FOR 11 Nov 2017 10CM FLUX: 071 / AP: 007
PREDICTIONS FOR 12 Nov 2017 10CM FLUX: 071 / AP: 007
PREDICTIONS FOR 13 Nov 2017 10CM FLUX: 074 / AP: 007
COMMENT: The solar activity is quiet as the solar disc remains spotless;
no
flare has been recorded in past 24 h on the visible disc. The X-ray flux
is expected to remain below C level.
A wide spread coronal dimming associated with a filament eruption was
observed in the North-East quadrant on Nov 10 around 9:00 UT. The eruption
was then detected in SOHO/LASCO-C2 coronagraph on Nov 10 at 08:12 UT.
Further analysis shows that the Coronal Mass Ejections has no Earth
directed component.
The solar protons flux remained at background levels over the past 24
hours.
The Earth remained in the fast flow until Nov 10 around 19:00 UT, the speed
has then continuously decreased to reach the current value of 535 km/s.
The
interplanetary magnetic field magnitude remained below 5 nT and the Bz
component was fluctuating between -3 and 3 nT. The solar wind speed is
expected to continue to decrease until it reaches its nominal level.
Unsettle to disturb geomagnetic conditions were observed (local K Dourbes
1-4, NOAA Kp 2-4). The geomagnetic conditions are expected to reach the
nominal level with the decrease of the solar wind speed.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 000, BASED ON 08 STATIONS.
