PLAIN
NOTE: the above forecasts are valid from 1230UT, 31 Dec 2017 until 02 Jan
2018
PREDICTIONS FOR 31 Dec 2017 10CM FLUX: 070 / AP: 010
PREDICTIONS FOR 01 Jan 2018 10CM FLUX: 069 / AP: 010
PREDICTIONS FOR 02 Jan 2018 10CM FLUX: 068 / AP: 007
COMMENT: Solar activity was low, no C-class flares in past 24 h. The
situation is not expected to change, as there are no active regions on

disk.

Proton flux levels are at background values and are expected to remain
so.
No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Solar wind speed is at 360 km/s with interplanetary magnetic field
magnitude of 5 nT. Geomagnetic conditions have been quiet. There is a small

positive coronal hole located at 30 degrees northern latitude which may

affect the Earth within 24h (although its associated solar wind stream
may
pass north of the Earth), active conditions can be expected then (with

isolated minor storm periods possible).

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 007, BASED ON 12 STATIONS.
