COMMENT: Solar activity was at very low levels. The Sun is spotless. No

earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed in available

coronagraphic imagery. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal

levels.

Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

Solar wind speed declined from initial values around 510 km/s to about 
450
km/s by the end of the period. Bz oscillated between -4 and +3 nT (DSCOVR).

The interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) was mostly directed towards the

Sun, with some brief positive (away) periods. A small and diffuse negative

equatorial coronal hole (CH) has transited the central meridian.

The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels and is expected 
to
remain so during the next few days. An active episode is possible from 
the
moderate speed wind streams associated with the observed CHs.
