PREDICTIONS FOR 26 Feb 2018 10CM FLUX: 069 / AP: 008
PREDICTIONS FOR 27 Feb 2018 10CM FLUX: 070 / AP: 011
PREDICTIONS FOR 28 Feb 2018 10CM FLUX: 071 / AP: 006
COMMENT: There are presently no numbered sunspot regions on the visible

side of the solar disk. Accordingly, solar activity is extremely low (last

B-class flare was reported about a week ago). We expect such a low activity

to persist in the coming days.
Coronagraph images do not show signatures of the Earth directed CMEs, and

the solar protons remained at the background level.

The solar wind speed is presently about 430 km/s and the interplanetary

magnetic field magnitude is 5 nT. In the coming hours we might expect some

increase of the solar wind speed, associated with the equatorial coronal

hole (possibly connected to the southern polar coronal hole) which reached

central meridian in the late evening of February 22.
Rather small and patchy equatorial coronal hole reached central meridian

this morning. The associated increase of the solar wind speed might be

expected in the morning of March 02.
The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet and we expect quiet to
unsettled geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 016, BASED ON 19 STATIONS.
