B. Proton Events: The greater than 10 MeV proton flux at GOES was
enhanced over the period due to flare and CME activity earlier in
the week, but below S1 (Minor) levels. Following the M7 flare, the
proton flux began to slowly increase but finished the period just
below S1 levels with a peak flux of 8 pfu at 2325Z UTC.
C. Geomagnetic Activity Summary: Geomagnetic field activity began
the period at quiet conditions under waning effects from the 22 Jun
CME shock. The arrival of the CME driver around 0800 UTC resulted in
a geomagnetic response to the G2 (Moderate) level, with subsequent
storming at the G1 (Minor) level. The period ended with active
conditions.
