Shortwave Radiogram, Program 329

Hello friends

Thanks to all of you who decoded last weekend's Arabic text. Klaus in Germany
demonstrated how it can be done with low-end equipment: "Samsung Galaxy Tab 2
(from 2012 with Android 4), TIVAR Version 1.1 for Android 2-4), Degen DE13 with
whip antenna (25 Euro Handcrank Radio)."

This is the first full weekend after the clocks were changed to standard time
in most of North America. Please note that the WINB program schedule on 9265
kHz stays with Eastern Time year-round. Shortwave Radiogram on 9265 is
therefore an hour later by UTC, but probably the same by your local time.

The situation in the paragraph above also applies to Shortwave Radiogram from
WRMI, 9955 kHz, now Sunday 1530-1600 UTC. Shortwave Radiogram on all other WRMI
frequencies stays with its UTC times, so they are an hour earlier by local time
in most of North America.

Yes, I know, these time changes are never easy. See the updated schedule below.

Looking ahead to next weekend, Shortwave Radiogram will be transmitted in
EasyDRF, a form of DRM that can be received on conventional radios. I will
send details over the weekend or early next week.

A video of last weekend's Shortwave Radiogram (program 328) is provided by
Scott in Ontario (Friday 1300 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in
the UK. Analysis is provided by Roger in Germany.

Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 329, 9-13 November 2023,
in MFSK modes as noted:

 1:44 MFSK32: Program preview
2:52 MFSK32: Record-Low Water Levels on Mississippi River
 7:40 MFSK64: NASA spacecraft discovers asteroid's "moon"*
11:42 MFSK64: This week's images*
28:38 MFSK32: Closing announcements
