Shortwave Radiogram transmits digital text and images on an analog shortwave broadcast transmitter. The program is produced and presented by Dr. Kim Andrew Elliott.
Shortwave Radiogram, 20 October-1 November 2022: Slowly recovering frequencies
Program 276 will be transmitted this weekend (20-25 October) and repeated the following weekend (27 October-1 November).
While WRMI has made good progress restoring its antennas and feedlines since Hurricane Ian, key WRMI frequencies used for Shortwave Radiogram are still off the air. 15770 kHz frequency came back on the air October 14, but after our 1300-1330 UTC broadcast. 7730 kHz is at very low power, preventing successful decodes at all listening locations. WRMI expects that 5850 and 7780 kHz will return by the end of October.
WRMI is asking for donations to help with the substantial cost of repairing it antennas and feedlines. A GoFundMe page has been established. There is also a donation link on the wrmi.net home page: Be sure to use the pull-down menu to select Hurricane Ian Damage Repairs. WRMI has been generous to Shortwave Radiogram. Please consider a donation.

In the meantime, WINB has providing good reception, or at least good enough for our MFSK32 text, in many parts of the world.
And to add to our woes, the transmitter at Nauen, Germany, was not on the air Sunday 0000-0200 UTC, on 5960 kHz, for The Mighty KBC and our MFSK64 feature at 0130 UTC. We hope 5960 will be back this weekend.

“This is a Music Show” Most of the show is a music show, but the host transmits some MFSK-64 text and image near the end of the broadcast. Pop Shop Radio from British Columbia, Canada, includes “a whole variety of pop music, such as records from the 1960s and 1970s that were played on Top-40 radio stations not only in North America but also on offshore radio and stations like Radio Luxembourg.” The programs now include some MFSK text and an image.
