Hello friends

This weekend, a brand new (not repeated) edition of Shortwave Radiogram: Program 277.

Thanks to Match @Plano26 and Al @WD4AH_Al for watching over the @SWRadiogram Twitter account while I was on the west coast for a few days.

Speaking of Twitter, we will wait to see what happens to Twitter under its new ownership. It certainly is a useful and efficient platform for updated information about Shortwave Radiogram, and for listeners to share their results. Certainly the group that follows @SWRadiogram is civil and amicable. (My other Twitter account, @kaedotcom, onpasses news about international broadcasting, with very occasional comments and clarifications from me.)

On November 6, clocks in most of North America will move back one hour. This will affect some Shortwave Radiogram transmissions, but not others. WRMI stays with UTC on all its frequencies except 9955 and (I think) 5950 kHz, so times may change by your local time. WINB stays with Eastern Time on 9265 kHz, so UTC times will change. I believe WINB will keep 15750 kHz DRM on a UTC schedule. For program 277, the only UTC time change will be Tuesday 1530-1600 UTC on WRMI 9955 kHz. There will be more changes next weekend.

Videos of Shortwave Radiogram program 277 are provided by Darau BlÄ— in Lithuania and Scott in Ontario (both October 21 at 1300 UTC) and by Scott (the October 28 repeat at 1300 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is prepared by Roger in Germany.

Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 277, 3-8 November 2022, in MFSK modes as noted:

 1:37 MFSK32: Program preview
2:45 MFSK32: Radar cubesat will explore asteroid Dimorphos*
7:50 MFSK64: Used batteries are a new energy storage system
12:46 MFSK64: This week's images*
28:44 MFSK32: Closing announcements
