Hello friends

As I type this, Tropical Storm Nicole is passing over Florida. This storm is not as powerful as Ian, but no doubt Nicole's rain and wind will have some impact on WRMI operations. At the moment (2108 UTC), I am hearing WRMI on some of its frequencies, including 15770 kHz. There might be some disruptions this weekend. We wish WRMI a speedy recovery.

WRMI's 7730 kHz is not yet back on the air after Hurricane Ian damage, but the Sunday 2330-2400 UTC broadcast is now on 7570 kHz. The beam is 315 degrees, so reception in North America will probably be better than it was on 7730 kHz -- and not as good in Europe.

Last week I noted the WINB DRM transmission on 15755 kHz rather than the usual 15750 kHz. With no confirmation of any change, 15750 kHz is still listed below, but it might actually be centered on 15755.

The changeover from daylight time to standard time is now complete. The will affect some Shortwave Radiogram transmission times. The schedules of WINB on 9265 kHz and WRMI on 9955 kHz stay with Eastern Time, so UTC times change. The other frequencies stay with UTC, so local times will change. The schedule below is correct as far as I can tell.

Videos of last weekend's Shortwave Radiogram (program 277) are provided by Darau Blė in Lithuania and by Scott in Ontario (both Friday 1300 UTC). The audio archive is maintained by Mark in the UK. Analysis is prepared by Roger in Germany.

Here is the lineup for Shortwave Radiogram, program 278, 11-15 November 2022, in MFSK modes as noted:

 1:35 MFSK32: Program preview
2:50 MFSK32: Beam-hopping satellite moves closer to launch
 6:16 MFSK64: Legislation to enable right-to-repair
13:28 MFSK64: This week's images*
27:21 MFSK32: Closing announcements
