Hello friends
As I type this, the windows in my office are open. Through the screen I can
hear the grass-cutting machines, which seem to be a permanent feature in our
neighborhood. Temperatures here in northern Virginia reached 87F/31C this week,
and that's what it is now. But a cold front will move in this afternoon, and
maybe some storms with it. So I should finish this email before there are any
electric power disruptions.
A video of last weekend's Shortwave Radiogram (program 298) is provided by
Scott in Ontario (Friday 1300 UTC). See also a Twitter video by Colton in
Texas, demonstrating decoding by placing a Tecsun PL990 near a laptop computer

“This is a Music Show” Most of the show is a music show, but the host
transmits some MFSK-64 text and image near the end of the broadcast. Its
transmitted on WRMI, Thursdays at 0200-0300 UTC on 5850 kHz (Wednesday evening
in the Americas). Also look for a waterfall ID at the beginning of the show.
