I'm the sysop of the other N0ARY BBS still running, and have been doing
so since the mide 1990's.

WP traffic always was sent as P type. I don't know why some sysops have
started to send them as bulletins. N0ARY BBS will update its WP database
only from WP updates sent as P type. Jeremy: You say you modified the
code so you could sent them as P or B type--the fact that you had to do
that should tell you something. Now, to be honest, there are things that
need to be fixed in the code, but this isn't one of them.

Bottom line: Bulletins are meant to be read by everyone (humans).
WP updates are only meant to be read by the BBS, that's why they're
sent as P type and why they're all in a very specific format.

The only reason for people to read WP updates is for troubleshooting, and
only certain sysops would do that.

73, Gary WB6YRU, sysop of N0ARY.#NCA.CA.USA.NOAM (San Jose, CA)
