May we PLEASE HALT with the flood of SYSOP@ mails?
Sysop@ was meant as a priority group aimed towards a misconfigured BBS
by a particular SysOp, and eventually it has somehow turned into a rag-chew
area.
If you desire to have a particular group dedicated towards various BBS
Softwares, that's a GREAT idea!.. but PLEASE name it after the name
of the software you intend to write about. If it's MSYS then try MSYS@WW
or MSYS@USBBS for examples. If it's JNOS then JNOS2@ seems to work just fine
as Maiko himself posts.
Some softwares and/or individual rewrites prohibit regular users, especially
those interested in becoming a future sysop, from perhaps learning about the
software(s) they intend to study. Having public areas available for regular
users to read... and even post queries in... would greatly improve the value
of the bulletins forwarded.
I'm not posting this in anger but trying to offer constructive criticism.
