As per my situation, being a direct forwarding PBBS of GB7CIP,
no old messages result stored here.
And this happens the same for all other situations since my
main forwarding structure, the obcm, has stored as today,
from last compile date, about 30000 (thirty thousands) BIDs;
then, and since it is the top software in the pure packet
radio, it setups per default the maxbid capability/management
to over 8000000 (eight millions) BIDs .... :)
Recommendation for all: when for various reasons your system
get corrupted the best way is to rebuild the PBBS from scratch
and re-use the old main configuration files only.
If you have a sane backuup of your PBBS it is necessary to
first purge all old messages and then restart it's operation.
