I bought 2 of these small DEL server SMPSUs at ham car boot sale for œ3 ea.
(œ25 on web?)

Ideally I needed 75A @ 13.8V for my T500M HF linear. But as a backup PSU these
seem ideal. My older larger DEL 7000815 SMPSU I was able to do 13.8V & that was
very RF quiet.

Powering up this PSU gives just the power connected green LED. The rear
connector links needed are 1-8 for Fan on (slow), then (0v)3-6 for the +12.1V.
Link Pin 7-24 gives a 0.6V boost to make 12.7V on the main output.

Internally it is uses very small "Surface Mount" components with 2 PCBs &
several daughter boards. The switching transformer is really tiny, with
switching done around 500kHz.

All seems every good, with very few QRM frequencys which are all well down, as
the mains input is well filtered & the output is strapped to earth, with the
case making a good "Faraday cage".

DC is better regulated than my float battery system & 30A PSU.

Power consumption with no load & fans on slow it was 26W (45VA).

Also see my Tech buls "DEL 7000815 SMPSU 12V 75A Mods", "Switch Mode PS
Principles", "Clip on QRM Probe", "Mains Plugtop Filter Adapter",
"Reducing Electronic RF QRM", & "T500M 12V 500W HF Linear"

Why don't U sent an interesting Bul?
