Interesting John,
Here in PA most of the electrical systems have there one ground rod.
In some parts of PA it is suplied by the electrical company.
PEN as you have in the UK is no longer allowed to use for homes they have
to have their own grounding rod.
I have the house grounded with a rod and the mast also.
The mast is even better groundend then the house so when i get problems by
lightning it should go over the new grounding rod..
If it works that way for sure we never now until it happens..
