Hello Misko.

In short:
its not more "bad" than working in FT-8 mode, that most "HF DX-ers" now run their
rigs for hours even in "robot QSO" modes w/o operator or running remote via mobile device.

FT-1000 series have huge aluminium heatsink and air fan inside, its should not have any problems
even with "brick on CW key" for many minutes.

As for ARQ modes fast TX/RX change, FT-1000mp have PIN-diode to route TX and RX signals,
even not mechanical relay, so no degrade of rig's quality after ARQ operation.

FT-857 (and other small car/portable rigs) will not have hot problem when drived for 25-30max in continued ARQ operation.
40-60İower possible too for, short operation in digital.
Or need to install some external cooling fan for automatic operation on that power level.

Not remember if there are PIN-diode or RX/TX relays in 857, you can check it in service manual.

73, Sergej.
