Paul, thank you for information on your Kenwood TS-480SAT. I will try to
test FT-991 by using TS-480SAT as the parameter in the SCS controller.
(I did not check yet whether TS-480SAT was listed in the SCS
internal menu, but suppose it is there.)

By the way, I did not try to test FT-991A by using any of those
software, and only tried from the command line (minicom in Linux). I
only got a response from the controller that, for example, the
frequency was changed, but in reality the radio did not change QRG.

That FT-991A that I used for test was not mine, but from another ham.
So I need to collect some more info before I ask the other ham to bring
in the radio from his home location HI HI ...
