Hi Paul and all,

I understood that your FBB setup handles your TS-480Sats somewhat
different (and/or maybe better) than BPQ does. In any case,
I contacted SCS, and was told that p4Dragon controllers are not going to
perform some things as the older PTC controllers did. That means,
Dragon's shall not support changing frequencies by using dumb
terminals, or like (their TRX commands), and adapting the modem
firmware by adding new models of radios. Instead, it is expected
from the main communication software on a PC to speak the correct
command set with the radio:

"The correct commands/settings have to be done at the PC side. You
cannot use any dumb-termnal to control any radio anymore."

So, for newer radios (obviously incl. FT-991A) to be controlled by BPQ
we need to wait for John BPQ to consider adapting the software to work
with FT-991 and similar (and test the related beta's accordingly) HI
HI ...
