No active tropical cyclones, depressions, or named storms pose a direct threat to the Central American mainland over the next 7 days. High-pressure ridges and hostile environmental wind shear are successfully deflating systems before they can steer near the region.
The latest long-range models and structural updates from the [National Hurricane Center (NHC)](https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo.php) trace the following parameters across both marine basins:
------------------------------
## 🌀 Atlantic & Caribbean 7-Day Outlook
The Caribbean Sea remains entirely calm and devoid of organized cyclonic tracks. Forecasters are keeping a routine eye on a single distant feature in the open Atlantic:

* Central Tropical Atlantic (Invest 97L): A broad area of low pressure located midway between the west coast of Africa and the Lesser Antilles is producing disorganized showers. The NHC gives this system a low 20o 30œhance of development over the next 7 days. Dry air and upper-level wind shear are expected to prevent significant strengthening as it moves slowly westward. It poses zero threat to Central America.
