WIA to submit Class Licence Consultation Response to ACMA

Date : 29 / 11 / 2022
Author : Lee Moyle - VK3GK

The closing time for submissions to the ACMAâ€Ös very important Class Licence Consultation is on the 29th of November 2022 at 5pm (EAST)

The WIAâ€Ös Spectrum Strategy Working Group, chaired by Peter Young VK3MV, has spent many countless hours analyzing,
consolidating and tabling the many survey responses and related comments into the response submission to the ACMA.

This has been formulated into the official WIA response which will be submitted on behalf of all the WIA members
and other interested parties that contributed to the survey request.

The response from the Amateur Radio community was completely overwhelming but highlighted the significant importance
with well over 600 responses, including many with valuable comments that were received by the WIA.

The ACMA and WIA have a very professional working relationship and this important Class Licence and FYSO which includes
the opportunity to engage with the Higher Power proposals should be an important time for all Amateur Radio operators
looking for a generally favourable outcome.

The WIA thanks all parties, clubs and individuals that contributed to the WIA Survey.
